Cut to the Chase
Saturday 25th February from 1pm
A day of talks, discussions and performances.
Seminal artists and barbers including Oreet Ashery, Mark Bustos, Joshua Coombes, Open Barbers and Brandon Tauszik engage in conversations about identity, gender and race through the medium of barbershops and art.
Throughout the day, you will be able to witness a preview of Inua Ellam’s new play The Barbershop Chronicles, (in partnership with FUEL, The National Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse) and enjoy a new audio work by Emma Frankland while having your hair cut by Open Barber with the East London skyline as your landscape.
Note: For the Open Barber/Emma Frankland experience, please come to the reception on the day and sign up for the experience. This activity is outside of the All Day Ticket and we will run a Pay What You Can initiative in cash on the day.
All Day Ticket: £6/8
